Saskia Ohlin MSc DPsych CPsychol AFBPsS

Originally from the Netherlands, I acquired an MSc degree in 1997 in Clinical Psychology as well as in Clinical Neuropsychology and Psychobiology at the University of Amsterdam in the Netherlands.

In 2001 I acquired a Doctorate degree in Counselling Psychology. I have been based in the UK since 2006, prior to which I worked in counselling psychology in the Netherlands and internationally since 1997.

From 1997 until present I have continuously worked in counselling psychology both in NHS and private settings in primary and in secondary care.

Since 2006 I work in my central London private practices near Harley Street and Holborn where I see patients with a wide range of psychological problems. I have particular clinical expertise in treating complex trauma, persistent depression and anxiety disorders, eating disorders and personality disorders (borderline personality disorder, narcissistic personality disorder as well as avoidant, obsessive compulsive and dependent personality disorder).

In addition to therapy, I offer supervision and training to clinical and counselling psychologists and give workshops at national and international conferences (BABCP, EABCT, ISST).

Together with Dr. Ruth McCutcheon, we head the Academy of Schema Therapy in London, providing courses and accreditation programs in Schema Therapy in the UK and abroad. We work together with the internationally recognised Academie voor Schematherapie of the Netherlands, providing advanced training to clinical and counselling psychologists in Schema therapy.
